Duo Fleur Strijbos & Babette Craens

When soprano Fleur Strijbos and pianist Babette Craens share the stage, something special unfolds. Since 2022, they have formed a Liedduo known for their dynamic interpretations, refined musicianship, and undeniable chemistry on stage. With music and poetry as their allies, they breathe new life into the classical Lied repertoire in a contemporary and captivating way.

The two first met at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, where they were inspired by masters like Lucienne Van Deyck, Jozef De Beenhouwer, and Aäron Wajnberg .What began as a shared passion for the Lied has since evolved into a deep artistic connection, laying the foundation for their distinctive sound.

With performances both in Belgium and abroad, Fleur and Babette are quickly building their reputation. They participated in the ‘Udo Reinemann Masterclasses Lied Duo 2022-2023’, were semifinalists in ‘Supernova 2024’, and received a standing ovation for their debut concert at Beaujean-Live’s ‘Young Masters’ in 2023. Since 2024, they have proudly been members of the ‘Vrienden van het Lied’.

Duo Leora

Soprano Fleur Strijbos and guitarist Emma Wills formed their dynamic duo, Duo Leora, after their successful collaboration at the Walden Festival of Klara in 2024. Their paths first crossed at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, but they truly connected when both of them were invited by the national classical music radio station Klara for the series 'De Twintigers,' Emma in 2022, followed by Fleur in 2024.

Their "Echoes of Spain" program captivated a full audience at the Citizens’ Garden in the heart of Brussels, inspiring them to continue their musical journey together. The name "Leora," meaning "light" in Hebrew and Greek, reflects their shared vision of illuminating classical music with fresh, expressive interpretations.

Yentl & Fleur

"Yentl & Fleur" is a unique duo that combines the jazz vocals of Yentl Verborgt with the classical voice of Fleur Strijbos. Since 2016, these two very different voices have come together in a shared pop style to create original songs and fresh takes on existing ones. What makes them special? Their voices might be worlds apart in background, but when they sing together, it’s pure magic.

In 2022, Yentl & Fleur wrapped up their project ‘In the Clouds’, where they teamed up with pianist Lars Van de Voorde. Inspired by the ever-changing sky, they turned their love for clouds into beautiful music. But they’re not stopping there. With an album in the works, Yentl & Fleur are ready to explore new sounds and see where the journey takes them—maybe even beyond the horizon. Big things are on the way, so stay tuned!"

Be Moved

"Be Moved" began in 2019 as a graduation project and has since grown into a meaningful collaboration between two close friends. Classical sopranos Fleur Strijbos and Marjolein Appermont, both graduates of the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, bring together a diverse group of musicians to create performances that deeply connect with audiences.

Their debut project, "Be Moved - Music from Life", became a touching initiative during the pandemic. It involved personal stories from people about how certain pieces of music had a special impact on their lives. These stories were brought to life in performances by Strijbos and Appermont, along with tenor Lars Corijn and pianist Jonathan Fremout.

Strijbos and Appermont are currently working on their newest project, "100 jaar Maria Callas", with pianist Mike Docters. They’re excited about what’s next and have many more creative projects in the works.
